It was a pleasant surprise to have Bobby Watt visit us at the Frontenac Arch Biosphere workshop being run by the DSWAC this weekend near Gananoque Ontario. He and his wife came by just in time to accept the honour of removing the wooden centering for the dry stone gothic arch feature which had just been completed Sunday afternoon. The arch is now the second DSWAC dry stone workshop that has taken place in the area in less than a year. Thanks goes to Margot Miller who helped organize so many of the details for both events, and to Don Ross the director of the Biosphere Centre, and to Joy and Pierre who made the wonderful lunches. Everyone is now looking forward to the Canadian Dry Stone Wall Festival which will be held this next Canadian Thanksgiving only a few miles west of here along The Thousand Island Parkway, at Landon Bay.
