A two-day beginner's dry stone wall workshop took place on May 2nd and 3rd near Port Hope Ontario Canada . Patricipants of all ages learned the craft of dry lay construction and built a significant section of wall which eventually will become part of a dry stone gate entrance. All the studnts enjoyed two days of great weather and great food on a beautiful country property in Northumberland County building with natural, beautiful, quarried limestone dolomite from a nearby quarry.
This hands-on course was taught by profesional waller and stone sculptor John Shaw-Rimmington.
