The May 24 Balsam lake seminar was a great success even though it drizzled most of the day. This kept everyone from overheating and also there was no problem with bugs. We all reminded ourselves that most of the walls in Great Britain were probably built in the rain. Hmmmm, wonder why they call it DRY stone walling? Anyway we had a dozen men and women turn out. A 35 foot section of historic 100 year old wall was completely rebuilt before supper and a large 2 ton marker stone was lifted back into position by a handful of DSWAC enthusiasts. Who needs heavy equipment?
