Dry stone waller Eric Landman headed up a team of DSWAC wallers who did a demonstration wall at this year's Warkworth Fall Fair Friday Sept 12 to Sun Sept 14 2010 The 160th Warkworth Fall Fair They used tons of this lovely fieldstone granite collected in hedge rows from a nearby farmer's field. With it they built a 20 foot permanent dry stone 'barn foundation entranceway' on the fair grounds during the three days of the fair. Wallers were invited to come and join the DSWAC at this event.
DSWAC members Akira Inman, Ryan Stannought, Eric Landman, and Joe Mitchell created a sturdy dry stone wall feature during last weekend's Warkworth Fair. The structure incorporated local fieldstone gathered from farmers fields. This dry laid replica of a old Ontario barn foundation will later be landscaped with shrubs and perennial plants to create a permanent feature in the park.
