Bobcaygeon (Ontario)

This lovely stone historic wall, which is one of a few older dry stone walls in Bobcaygeon, Ontario, still has a refined and clean, structural look to it. Other newer walls and retaining walls in the town (and there are many of them) are more chunky looking, and although the newer walls, are rather crudely constructed. The original wall in this picture still runs along Boyd Street in Bobcaygeon. There are some places where it has been damaged and needs fixing but, alas, no one is doing it. The places where the damage is worst is not due to normal wear and tear and the frost, but to various traffic skirmishes with the wall and invasive heavy construction going on near it, and of course, years of neglect.
