The Building of a 'Harvest Hut'

We are gathering to build a small, below ground, dry stone ‘hut' , complete with domed roof for the storing of harvest produce.

This is another Sweet Life Farm event 

We’re planning two full weekends (1 workshop ) in September focused on building a dry laid subteraineal 'Out Building’ during the time of the 2024 fall harvest equinox.

Date  -  Sept 15,16 ..and.. Sept 21,22,

This will be a FOUR day build  (with option to go a fifth day ) offering hands-on training in dry stone walling techniques including: foundations, bonding, hearting, various retaining wall concepts , corbeling arching and lintel-type

dry stone openings , and of course, ‘dome’ construction.

There will be camping areas provided and a limited assortment of other onsite indoor accommodation (available on a first choice basis) 

Dinners are included plus drinks and treats 

Printed material will be provided.

Other Activities will be squeezed in during the two weekends - including: sauna, pond dips, outdoor dry stone showering, musical jamming and guided rejuvenation exercise sessions.

All this, for a low cost of 1000 dollars total (includes food and accommodation, but not HST) 

This course can accommodate a limited number students (10) and will involve two instructors .
