We completed another Dry Stone Walling Across Canada project as we travelled all the way to B C again this May to teach a special dry stone two-day archway and wall workshop on May 21 and 22, the weekend of the 2016 Victoria Highland Games. The event actually took place 'during' the Highland Games.

We used a random Basalt material generously provided by Kevin Maloney of AMA Kelta Natural Stone  Kevin@amaketla.com see www.amaketla.com and work together to build a traditional dry laid wall. This will be a beginner's seminar.  No mortar or power tools were used.

The teaching of the building with dry laid stone is based on the principles of gravity, friction and mass only. Dry stone construction is the oldest method of building with stone known to man, with countless examples of structures lasting thousands of years still in existence in many parts of the globe.

Join with the growing number of enthusiasts who are learning how to build walls without mortar and leave behind a beautiful structure for others to enjoy for decades.
